Ladies and gentlemen we’re back and better.
Dear girl, it’s important to always grow through what you go through. Not just my girls; You boys too. Life is 20% what happens to you and 80% how you react to what happens to you.
My site crashed at a time I was mourning my beloved grandmother who was soooo dear to me. Things were rough mentally but in the eyes of God he wanted to establish a new beginning. It’s my 18th year on earth and I’m so much wiser than I was when I started blogging at 17. So my wisdom is gonna be most evident building my blog and brand up again, stronger and more intelligently this time.
I miss my old posts, my play on words, my pictures and stuff but the love you guys have shown me before and during the loss of my website drove me to a conclusion that if you guys loved me at that time when I was still figuring my way around life as a teenager who just loves to blog her fashion sense and lifestyle, y’all will love me even more as semi-adult who’s not just gonna blog her fashion sense and lifestyle, but carry her entire audience with her wherever she goes and whatever she lays her hands on.
I’m not giving any excuses this time as to uploading videos here because some messages are better heard than read . The motif is to keep you updated on every thing worth your time, thoughts, emulation and consideration.
Also gonna be more consistent so that we can all move fast in achieving our common goals.
Sincerely, I don’t think I can completely understand the love and support you guys have and show towards me but I promise not to let you down in return.
Welcome back to my life in the fab lane.

This outfit wasn’t planned at all. I was just in the mood to take pictures. Switch up your skirt-shirt looks with some dope sport shoes. Have a beautiful day.

The Book of Ofuré by Jesus Chapter 19 vs 0

A very happy birthday season to me. I turned nineteen (19) on April 6 2018.

I am extremely grateful and thankful to God for giving me another year to shoot my shot at whatever assignment he has placed on my existence. Wow!!!! This is my last year of being a teenager. Guysssss! I’m adulting !

While I’m being excited about getting closer to the years when I can be independent, go about my business, mature mentally, physically and other wise, I’m also gnashing my teeth as to the big question “SO WHAT’S NEXT”?

While Adulting could be very interesting, fun and self creating, it could also be encapsulated by thoughts, actions , desires and emotions that could either make or scar you forever.

I am not the reason why I have gracefully grown from 0-19 ; with all the challenges, celebrations, disappointments, setbacks, tears and even joy. I will never take the glory. I am not responsible for who I have emerged. God’s love did this to me. It brought me here.

That is why I am making a conscious effort to dwell in the same thing that has been responsible for my growth over the years.

Grace is. God in your Race.

I am fearlessly walking into this new year because God’s grace is sufficient for me to lead me to do what is best for me and my future. Adulting is all about choices that push us to a destination of regret or fulfillment. I am mere mortal and I do not know what my future holds. Different people have their sources of power and confidence. I have mine in Jesus and the fact that he gave me a place in His kingdom to bring Him pleasure. He is the center of my race and I have chosen to dwell in His supernatural empowerment so that I will not make choices out of my own understanding .

I don’t even know myself as much as the one who made me. So Chapter 19 is me constantly letting God be the center of my choices. I may stray and fall but the strength of those that love and know God will always be renewed.

I am 19 because I have chosen to let God write this chapter for me before I hit the 20’s road not because I have celebrated 19 birthdays.

It’s important I share year 18’s highlights. So please keep reading boo!

1. Almost every product, film or initiative is open to people for participation or consumption from 18 upwards. Be wise in your selections.

2. Culinary skills is key at 18. The world sees you as a mini woman.

3. Boys and men are not scum. It’s all about you, how you handle them and the situations they put you in.

4. Purpose is an incredible alarm clock and a Forgiveness credit card and timer . Being purpose driven keeps you drama and bad blood free. When you’re purpose driven, you take everyday as an opportunity to bring you steps closer to your goals . No time for malice or shades .

5. Keep your relationship private but also feel free to share beautiful moments you’ve shared with your partner once in a while. Celebrate them and promote their work.

6. Be intentional about everything you say and do. Everything that comes out of you is a reflection of who you are.

7. Your parents are the best parents for you . God knows you need to be born into your family because that is where your character will be built. No matter how your parents are, your growing under them is a base for you to be grounded in discipline and good character. They may be old fashioned to you but they’ve seen more years than you have . There are certain attributes we are presently celebrated for that we wouldn’t have had if we weren’t born by our parents.

8. You don’t need to have a best friend.

9. Whatever takes most of your time rules you! (This is why I started praying and reading the Bible more often)

10. You are on your own. What you do is what you get! Nobody owes you anything.

11. Save more than you spend. Never let your account balance get to rock bottom.

12. Be genuine. It always attracts Good luck.

13. You don’t need what everybody has, you have what everybody needs.

14. It’s okay to cry and feel bad but just don’t dwell there. People don’t get drowned by falling into the water, they get drowned by staying there.

15. Personal hygiene is the first and most important beauty tip.

16. Stay close to people who inspire you.

17. Being present at every event isn’t a criteria for being labeled successful . Popularity is not Success.

18. Don’t get caught up in moments for too long; they most times influence decisions we regret later.

That’s it guys! I hope I in someway helped someone pull off from the anxiety that comes with almost entering the 20s era.

Cheers to the teenagers putting in work mentally, spiritually, financially, emotionally and socially to ADULT correctly. We will be as the Sun it’s might.

Happy Birthday to me again.

Weekend Style Tip in a piece of cloth

Top: @yangomagoo

Hey Guys! Welcome to the first weekend in March! Here’s a style tip for styling yourself to any fun function for the weekend.

The “Mesh” fabric clothes are a weekend go-to classic. Most ladies feel the need to get their sexy ON! During the weekend. While some can pull off showing much skin and excessive curves, some others can’t go all out. This is where a Mesh, top, dress or palazzo comes in.

It’s very comfortable to have fun with skimpy or micro pieces under a mesh shirt or dress; you can also style body hugging pieces with mesh overalls.

Mesh pieces always give you a sexiness and sassiness that you crave on weekends , without putting all of your skin out in the public.

Ideal Social Media Membership Pt 2

Happy Hump Day guys!

Grab a cup of coffee as we continue our discussion on what the ideal social media membership is or should be.

Less than 36 hours ago, the first highlight we identified under this topic, is the attribute of building an appropriate and strong profile. ClickHERE to view post.

Today, we’ll be looking at another attribute of ideal social media membership.

This can also be referred to as environment creation (where environment in this context means what surrounds you on social media).

A circle can be likened to a rotation or continuous cycle. This is to define the viscous cycle of following people and getting followed.

Circle building can be looked at in four important ways:

1.) Do unto others as you have them do to you. Whatever vibes you give out on social media is what you’ll get.

2.) Who and what you follow on social media determines the circle you build around your self and the environment you create for your mental health.

3.) Keeping track of people with the same school of thought as you.

4.) Creating substantial relationships and friendships

Your mind often has an open door, whatever you take into the room of your mind metamorphoses into a house someday; Your eyes are a window and whatever they see continuously, seats in the center of your mind.

This is to say, followership or following people on social media is a serious cause of being made or broken by social media.

The posts of the people you follow, you should ask yourself often: “is this good for me”?, “is this moving me in the direction I said I want to go”?, “is this good for my mental health”?, “does this challenge me to be a better person or does it intensify my weaknesses”?, “does this boost my confidence or does it magnify my insecurities”?

One thing we often fail to recognize is that social media feeds our minds and influences our thoughts , words and actions”

The best way to build a circle or environment for yourself on social media is to identify who you are and then start to identify the people who are on the same page with you in life.

Whoever and whatever you follow on social media determines what follows you 95% of the time.

I hope this was somewhat helpful in some way.

Do have a lovely Wednesday and see you guys in the next post.

Ideal Social Media Membership

A very happy new year to you guys!

I know I know….man’s been away for so long, can’t even find the perfect excuse to give other than I’ve been finding and creating my life. However, I trust that y’all have been finding life very exciting especially as so much has happened already in the first 2 weeks of 2018.

This blog post is over due as social media craze didn’t just start neither does it ever reduce . It’s always on the increase.

This was one of the topics addressed by Fashion blogger , movie costumer and entrepreneur Desola Mako at the Exhale Woman Christmas edition of SLAYCADEMY. If you follow my social media, you’re already familiar with the “Exhale Woman” initiative.

What is social media and what is it meant for?

Social Media as the name implies is different and various medium of socializing. And to socialize means to integrate with your peers, older ones, colleagues, business tycoons, celebrities and basically diverse human beings.

Social Media is for socializing, integrating, advertising, giving information and keeping in close contact with people across borders. The above mentioned can be further broken down into different positive things that social media can and should be used for.

Over the years, these uses of social media have been sidelined, forgotten, misused and exchanged with cyber bullying and all sorts of online shuddering.

But this blog post is not intended to shed light on the various forms of social media negativity . Instead, we’re here to discover what ideally should be our mandate for being members of any social media application.

Building a profile on social media is serious business. This is in few words, giving the whole world a ticket to being a part of your journey whether private or public. Your profile is an encapsulation of who, what, how and where you are in life. How you choose to portray it is solely your business. However, you may choose to learn from top social media creatives , celebrities or your mentors. In that light, one must not confuse getting inspired with copy and pasting. Regardless of likes and comments, building your profile should do the things mentioned below:

1. Post pictures of yourself owning your beauty, skin and style. Preferably clear and pleasing to the eyes.

2. Infuse interesting or not so captions that give people an insight on how you are character and humor wise.

3. Advertise your brand whether it is a private or public business. You just never know who needs what your brand has to offer and who wants to be a blessing to it. And even if you don’t have a brand, you may choose to advertise what you are known for or good at even if you are a “9-5” er or student.

4. Celebrate your family and friends as well as support them. It puts you ahead of others.

5. Don’t get High on likes and comments however appreciate them as they come.

….to be continued.

Whoop whoop!!! If you’re still reading, you’re the real MVP. And congratulations coz now you know whether you’ve been doing it right or wrong. This is just one area of ideal social media membership. Let me know what your thoughts are before we continue tomorrow.

Goodnight guys! #mondaysareforlearning

Check your Breast!!!

Reminiscing on the breast cancer awareness month of October as we enter into the November of our dreams.

Breast cancer is a severe condition no one wishes for anyone. It’s the leading cause of untimely death amongst women across the globe.

However, we must stay woke and draw strength from survivors and keep ourselves checked from time to time in order to avoid disheartening surprises.

This post features my look to a wedding I regretted attending at the end of the day. The color theme for the wedding was peach and skye blue and this is what I could come up with in less than 24hours. Images in this post do not show my feet because of a terrible mishap that occurred that day. Guysssss you don’t wanna know for real!

Happy November guys. Who else is excited about Christmas being about 6 weeks close!!!

Once again please check your breastssss and let all the breast cancer patients you know feel more loved now than ever.

See you guys at the next post.

Felabration ‘017

Top of the morning guys!!!

It’s a beautiful Thursday morning to throw it back to last Friday when I graced Felabration (Celebration of the life of Fela) at Freedom Park venue in the company of my best friend.

I actually wasn’t in attendance because I’m a huge fan of Fela or his music, I graced the event specially because my dad was one of the official artists exhibiting their works at the venue in honor of Fela’s legacy

Goofy outchea isn’t it?!

Done with introducing this post, let’s check out my outfit.

Keep scrolling because you just might get to see how well you can rock Adire pants plus a lowkey sneak peek into my dad’s Art as regards the celebration.

I’m wearing a Criss-Cross Olive long sleeve top I copped from Mr. Price, my dad’s Adire pants, a B&W belt, an Olive Michael Kors purse and a pair of champagne sandals I steal from my mum’s wardrobe every now and then.

I feel wearing these Adire pants was such a great idea because firstly, the whole hoola baloo is in honour of an African Music legend, social activist , whose dress sense revolved around nothing but beads, Adire, ankara and Afrocentric items in all.

The B&W belt I wore was in other to tone up the outfit and look not too casual. Do you think I pulled this off correctly?

If you’re still reading, you’re the bomb….. the real MVP. Coz right about now we’ll go right into a sneak peek of my dad Emmanuel Umoren’s paintings for Felabration ‘017 Art Exhibition.

Completely amazing isn’t it?

And yeah you guessed right, I’m such a proud daughter.

Closing the curtains on this post, wishing you guys a pleasant pre-TGIF.

Stay happy.
